Osogbo,the
capital of
Osun
State are full of panic as police discover
an
explosive device today at
the
premises of an ancient
generation
bank.
The
suspicious
package
were being discovered by
a
security agent who quickly rushed and
inform
the bank
manager
based on his discovery,as report says. The bank in osun state was said to
have
been quickly
evacuated
with other
businesses
in the metropolis accompanied with suit.
The
Anti-Bomb Squad of
the
police command in the
state
was at the scene to
swiftly
recover the Improvised
Explosive
Device (IED) in a rare show of efficiency.
As
the individuals
behind
the attempted attack
are
yet unknown,
the
police in the city were also
placed
on high alert to ensure
prevention
of any escalation of
violence.
Mr
Ibrahim Maishanu, the
Commissioner
of Police in the
state
when contacted
confirmed
the gradual unfolding(development).
While
on react to news of the sudden
discovery,
the commissioner
said
that the police are still on
investigations
over the matter
assuring
all citizen of
sustained
peace afterward.
The
bank has been cordoned
off
to customers for
more investigations
till further notice.
