
The
Lagos State police said that
it
had arrested some
suspected
cultists
allegedly
belonging to the confraternity of the
Supreme
Eiye
while
in celebration of their new
initiated
members.
Mr.
Umar
Manko
(the
Commissioner of Police in lagos
state,stated
this at a
news
conference yesterday at the Ikeja, Lagos command
Mr.
Umar said that those
suspects
were being arrested last
Saturday
at 3:30a.m at
Igbokosun,
Ajah area of Lagos at a residence which is known as 50-50 hotel,
claiming
that they had
been
commiting crimes in Lagos state.
Mr.
Umar also said that some members of
the
group were found
with
T-shirts bearing the name
of
the cult, noting
that
members were drawn
from
Bariga and Ajah in
Lagos
and Ogun state for the celebration
ceremony.
Sound
systems, various kinds of
handsets,

Volkswagen buses,assorted charms,
and
one Infinity Jeep were
recovered
from the group;Said The commissioner of police.
He
also said that the
suspects
would soon be
arraigned
in the court after
investigation
are done.
The
suspected group were taken to
the
State CID, Panti,
Yaba after they were
paraded before the journalists for more investigation.
